Brighton's Street Art
This Friday was another day in Brighton since I had my first physics midterm in the morning. My friend Diana and I made it our mission to find two specific houses in Brighton that had art of Adventure Time and Rick and Morty. When we first got into Brighton the two of us were starving so we made it our mission to find a nice brunch place to eat. We remembered the last time we went to Brighton we stumbled upon a place called the Breakfast club and we decided to check it out. Upon entering the restaurant we got a very PCH and beach cafe vibe. The interior was decorated with beach decor and little huts as booths. I got the salted caramel pancakes which were amazing, they were drizzled with salted caramel, chocolate sauce, and bananas. It being a better day weather wise, than the last time we were in Brighton we embarked on returning to Brighton pier to actually go on the pier and check it out. The pier was scattered with little street food to get fish and chips and other snack related food. In the middle of the pier was a large arcade and at the end of the pier were a bunch of small rides. From there we went walking along Brighton's rocky beach in search of Traflagar street, a street covered in Brightons street art. Attached are some photos of the graffiti we found. However thinking the houses were nearby we went walking all around only to find out it was further up town from where we were. We began about 1 mile trek uphill to find the two houses. After all that walking we worked up an appetite and decided to try out the famous Nandos. If you don't already know Nandos is a Portuguese chicken place known for marinating their chicken with the spice peri peri. It's a popular chain in London. Nandos was SO good. We tried the mango lime and lemon herb flavors. From there we decided to visit a bar we saw the other day. There we talked to the bar tender who ended up being from Las Vegas and moved to Brighton after she finished college in Amsterdam, one thing I've noticed at bars so far are people are really cool and open to sharing their stories in bars/pubs really just emphasizing the fact that in Europe drinking is just a social activity rather than what it is back home. We headed back to Sussex after walking a long day of walking a total of 10.8 miles just to see street art but it was totally worth it!
